Prefect fit blinds

Perfect Fit

Perfect Fit blinds clip to each individual pane of glass. They can be fitted with window films to work in synergy and get the best from your glazing.

When it comes to doors, the whole blind moves with the door without any flapping.

Pros & Cons of Perfect Fit Blinds

Pros

  • Great for shapes, inward opening windows and doors
  • Moves with the frame so nothing swings or flaps around
  • Frame colour options to match window frames
  • Click fitted on to clips so no drilling making fitting simple
  • Gives light management flexibility with a blind for each pane of glass
  • Totally private due to its frames (except Venetian versions)
  • Some versions can be battery motorised at the time of manufacturing the product
  • No hanging cords or wands (tension pleated versions only)

Cons

  • Quite expensive system especially on smaller panes of glass such as top opener or fan lights
  • Windows and especially doors need to be square otherwise they can stick in their frames
  • Need to be unclipped to clean the glass behind them fully with them being so close fitting
  • Risk of glass breakage due to thermal stress breakage due to close fitting the glass can’t dissipate the heat gain
  • Risk of glass breakage due to metal clips pressing hard up against to the glass especially on heat treated glass
  • Lots of blinds to open and close with their being a lot of blinds (one for each pane rather than one per window)
  • Not a good blind system over a sink or counter if you want to open fully as you need to be able to reach to the top of the highest pane of glass with your hand
  • The roller versions have a protruding head box which can hit walls if fitted to doors hindering full movement of the door
  • Not totally private (Venetian versions only) there is a small gapbetween the top slat and the head rail which allows the ability forpeople to peer in
  • Venetian and pleated fabric can damage and water mark easily especially when used on outward opening doors (this is where blinds in the glass are beneficial)
  • Battery motorised versions have limited motor choices which might not be compatible to home automation systems
