Pros & Cons of Visage Blinds
Pros
- Give the look of a Venetian blind but with out lots of surfaces for dust to collect
- Gives partial privacy (when fully lowered) and full privacy or glare reduction at multiple heights
- Retract fully, retaining 100% of the window when not in use
- Partially concealed in a cassette head box
- Can be motorised at a later date (if made on the correct tube size)
- Can make better use of window sills due to top down operation
- Great for day time and night time privacy
- Great for people who like a dressed window
- Have larger gaps than other blind types when butted together
Cons
- Can flap and swing in a breeze
- More expensive than a basic roller as it requires more fabric and must have a cassette box
- Have larger gaps than other blind types when butted together
- Can be tricky to use in bay windows due to cassette box clashing at corners
- Can look fussy from kerbside on Georgian or multi-pane windows
- Can’t be made as large as a simple roller blind
- Not many fabric options
